Il controllo del solvente nei moderni sistemi a circuito chiuso

Solvent control in modern closed-loop systems

— 30 / 06 / 2026

Safety when using perchloroethylene depends entirely on isolating the solvent from the external environment. In traditional systems of the past, the risk of fugitive emissions was linked to the drying phases and filter maintenance. Today, ecological management is based on the airtight closed-loop principle: the solvent never leaves the machine, but is continuously recycled, filtered, and distilled.

This process automatically separates impurities and grease from the clean solvent. Operator safety depends on the system's ability to reduce residual vapors in the drum before the door opens, lowering concentrations to minimal levels that comply with the strictest international laws. At the same time, the management of distillation residues must minimize direct contact with industrial sludge, transforming maintenance from a potential risk into a standardized and safe procedure.

The F series solutions for ecological efficiency

The F series by Firbimatic embodies this design philosophy through a range of machines (with load capacities from 10 kg to 25 kg and configurations with two or three tanks) engineered to combine environmental impact reduction with a drastic decrease in operating costs.
The system integrates specific devices that operate at critical points in the solvent lifecycle:

  • Energy Still: an integrated heat recovery system that optimizes the distillation phase, reducing the overall energy requirement of the machine.
  • Eco System: a module for the deep decontamination of distillation sludge, which significantly reduces the amount of polluting waste to be sent for disposal.
  • Clean Still: a technology that automates the emptying of the still via a dedicated pump, preventing the operator from having to perform manual cleaning of residues.
  • Integrated Coalperc: a carbon-activated system that operates at the end of the cycle to capture the final traces of perchloroethylene vapor in the drum, protecting staff health and room air quality.

The technical expertise of a global manufacturer

Every technological solution applied to the F series stems from the direct experience of Firbimatic, a company headquartered in Sala Bolognese (Bologna). With over 40 years of history in designing and manufacturing dry cleaning systems and industrial washing machines, the brand has developed specific know-how in managing stable and alternative solvents. The presence of active systems in over 100 countries ensures that the machinery complies with diverse and strict international environmental regulations, backed by entirely Made in Italy production and a specialized technical support network.
